Companion Services

Through our companion services, Emmaus provides assistance to individuals with disabilities who live in their own home or in their family’s home.

Emmaus companion services are provided to individuals living in private residences for the purposes of providing supervision, necessary care, and minimal assistance that is focused solely on the health and safety of the adult individual (18 years or older) with Intellectual Disabilities. Emmaus’ competent and caring Companions provide assistance with daily living activities, including grooming, health care, household care, meal preparation and planning, and socialization. Companion Services are scheduled in 15-minute units, and are provided at a one to one staff / individual ratio.

Emmaus also offers in-home Home & Community Habilitation Services and out-of-home Respite Services.
