Community-Based Homes and Person-Centered Support at the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh

In our homes individuals with intellectual disabilities receive life-changing 24-hour support according to their specific needs.

Through our residential program, Emmaus strives to create a warm, caring environment which fosters mutual growth amongst people with and without disabilities.

Emmaus currently operates ten community-based homes in neighborhoods throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area. In these homes, individuals with intellectual disabilities receive 24-hour support, according to their individual needs.

I Love Emmaus

Emmaus supports its residents in a variety of ways, including assistance with daily living skills, opportunities for socialization and recreation, health care maintenance, financial management support, medication administration, and finding suitable employment opportunities.

The Emmaus mission calls us to share our lives with one another.

Every time we welcome a new resident at Emmaus, we commit to providing the highest quality of care to that person for the rest of his or her life. That means sharing meals, working together, holding celebrations, facing our challenges, and building friendships. We value the unique gifts that each of our residents brings to this Community.
