We are delighted to share that Emmaus has been chosen as one of five charity partners for this year’s Giving Machine Pittsburgh, presented by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

What is the Giving Machine?

It’s a unique vending machine dedicated to charity!

From November 16th to December 6th, you can find our Giving Machine at 5511 Walnut Street, Pittsburgh, PA. It operates 24 hours a day! We hope you will stop by this holiday season!

We are excited to welcome Nicholas Rendulic to the Emmaus Board of Directors! Originally from Pittsburgh, Nicholas earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Gannon University. He currently works at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where he serves as a Senior Physician Assistant in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation.

Nicholas has been a long-time friend of Emmaus, having previously worked as a Direct Support Professional for three years. He is a passionate advocate for the Emmaus mission, and we are thrilled to have him as a member of the Board of Directors. Welcome (back) to Emmaus, Nicholas!

Exciting Announcement! Pennsylvania’s Office of Developmental Programs recently began transitioning to a new system called “Performance-Based Contracting.” Under this new system, providers of residential services for people with intellectual disabilities are placed in a tier, based on their performance in providing a spectrum of high-quality services and achieving the rigorous standards assigned to each tier. We are pleased to announce that Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh has been chosen as a “Select” provider in the state of Pennsylvania! This is a testament to all of the hard work and care demonstrated by the Emmaus team every day. We’re proud of this achievement, and we appreciate all of the people who helped make it possible!
