Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh provides permanent homes, respite care, home & community habilitation, companion services, and advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities and autism in the Pittsburgh region.
All of our programs strive to foster mutual growth amongst people with and without disabilities and to provide individuals with the support they need to live whole and meaningful lives. Emmaus seeks to provide the highest quality of care for our residents, as well as to increase awareness and acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities in the community.
Our residential, respite, and in-home programs are built upon a vision of sharing lives.
Residents/clients and staff members come together to break bread at mealtimes, share the work of the household, pursue their personal faiths and spirituality, celebrate joys, grieve losses, and build strong, caring friendships. We recognize the unique gifts of every individual who is part of our Community.
Our Services and employment are provided in a nondiscriminatory manner, without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, ancestry, religious creed, disability and age.
